Annual General Meeting 2018

Dear IOSH Members,

Thanks for all the support you have given to your IOSH Singapore branch through joining the networking nights, seminars, technical visits, and feedbacks. As another year has passed for our branch, it is now time to plan and save the date of our AGM. This year’s AGM will see a chance for the Executive Officers be nominated and voted into position for the following year. 

The following positions will be open for nominations and voting if circumstances require: 

- Branch Chairman

- Branch Vice Chairman

- Secretary

- Treasurer

- The executive committee members are all in position for the 2018 period. However, if you wish to join the team and contribute, now is the chance to nominate yourself as a volunteer, and if there are available positions within the EXCO team, you could be joining the team.

We have had a busy and exciting year in 2017, with XXI World Congress on Safety and Health at Work, Walk-a-jogs, Networkings and the Annual BCA/IOSH seminar. And 2018 is looking to be more exciting, with SHE-IOSH-OESH Joint Seminar on 29 Jun 2018 etc.

During the AGM, We will review the audited accounts, after receiving the nominations for the positions stated above if voting is required, this shall be conducted, there will be an update on the branch activities, all followed by GREAT FOOD!

And we are pleased to have Craig Foyle, President of IOSH, to give us an overview of ongoing IOSH initiatives. Craig will give us an update on the current campaigns, including an update on Work 2022 and the strategy. Craig will also detail the recently launched fourth phase of the successful IOSH No Time to Lose campaign focusing on Asbestos. As President of IOSH, Craig will talk about his presidential year and his continued hopes for the future of IOSH.

About our President  

Craig is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH (CFIOSH) and has over twenty-five years’ experience in engineering construction for the chemical, food and drink and pharmaceutical industries.  He specialises in project safety management, training and management systems.  Craig has been a director of Foyle Safety & Management Limited since 2009, providing SHE management consultancy support for multi-national clients across the world.  In addition, he also lectures on health and safety management at the University of Hull.

 Craig has been an active member of IOSH for many years and has supported the branch network in various roles, including the Chair of the Humber Branch, and continues to support the committee.  He is passionate about trying to raise the profile of safety and health practitioners and consultants and is the Vice Chair of the Consultancy Group, acting as the Chair from 2013 to 2017 before taking over as President Elect in 2016.  He took over the role of President of IOSH in November 2017 and is engaging with members, business and other stakeholders to drive IOSH forward.
