Dear IOSH Members,
Thanks for all the support you have given to your IOSH Singapore branch through joining the networking nights, seminars, technical visits, and feedbacks. As another year has passed for our branch, it is now time to plan and save the date of our AGM.
We have had a busy and exciting year in 2016, with the WSHC conference 2016, Overseas Technical Visit - MSTS (Johore Bahru, Malaysia), Local Technical Visit - Tiger Brewery, Walk-a-jogs, Networkings and the Annual BCA/IOSH seminar. And 2017 is looking to be more exciting, with the XXI World Congress on Safety and Health at Work (http://www.safety2017singapore.com/) on the 3-6 September 2017 etc.
During the AGM, We will review the audited accounts, give an update on the branch activities, all followed by GREAT FOOD! and an interesting presentation “IOSH Trip to Australia” from our guest speaker Mr. Jason Oh.
To be honest, just writing this short briefing for our 2017 AGM has gotten me excited as it is going to be a great night for IOSH members and one that is not to be missed!

About our guest speaker
Jason obtained his B.Eng (Civil) (Hons) from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom and furthered his study at the National University of Singapore for his Master of Science (Safety, Health, and Environmental Technology).
He ventured into construction industry starting from the ground as a Project Engineer, Safety Officer/ Manager, Designer, Project Manager/ Director. The projects ranged from heavy industry warehouse/ factory, School, Private and Public Residential housing projects in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, China and the United Arab Emirates.
He has more than 20 years of experience in Project Engineering Construction, Design and Management. He is the Chief Operating Officer of BCEG International (Singapore) Pte Ltd/ BCEG International (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. He was the Chief Operating Officer of Abu Dhabi precast, Executive Director of Linair Bio-energy Pte Ltd, General Manager of Metal Technology LLC, United Arab Emirates and a few reputed A1 Contractors in Singapore.
He was the Chairman of Health & Safety Engineering Technical Committee of IES (2011 to 2015); He also served as the Executive Committee of IOSH (Singapore Branch) in the year 2011 to 2013. Convenor for the CP 63 (2005) review committee (Code of Practice for the Lifting of persons in work platforms suspended from cranes (replaced by SS617:2016); Representing IES in the Design for Safety subcommittee administered under the Workplace Safety & Health Council (Construction and Landscape) committee since 2011. Since 2011, he is a registered DfS Professional Trainer with WSH Council.
