SCART’s Animal Evac Sheltering Exercise on June 3rd, will be in the Red Cross – OC parking lot. We will be setting up the 10 x 20 tent, the two 11 x 17 tents and multiple canopies. They will also be inviting other non-profits to participate, as well as OC Animal Care Services and CERT. This could be a very busy fire season and our goal is to be prepared in the event we are activated.
The Orange County Medical Reserve Corps (OCMRC) is a group of credentialed, organized medical and non-medical volunteers who assist during public health emergencies such as a major communicable disease outbreak, earthquake, flood, fire, or acts of terrorism. OCMRC volunteers work with the Health Care Agency to assist the local community during disasters. OCMRC also supports public health needs throughout the year by assisting in flu and other immunization clinics.
