Crystal Price is a certified PCIT Therapist and a within agency trainer. Developed by Dr. Sheila Eyberg, Parent Child Interaction Therapy is an evidenced based psychotherapy model for youth between the ages of 2 and 7 used all over the world. PCIT is used to help families and young children modify their negative behaviors. The model is based on strengthening the relationship between a child and their caregiver while also equipping caregivers with lifelong skills to manage difficult behaviors. The fundamentals of PCIT involve a one way mirror, ear piece, and a very structured therapy plan. Crystal will outline and discuss the 2 phases of PCIT and thea spects involved in conducting PCIT sessions including live coaching, coding, and data collection.
This workshop will count towards 1.5 CE Credits for WV Social Workers.
