Ammonia Training

This is a free course, funded by industry.

The 3-hour course reviews the general properties of anhydrous ammonia and aqua ammonia, the proper personal protective equipment, emergency first aid procedures, emergency response planning and actions, a review of all mechanical and structural features on a MC 330/331cylinder and an aqua ammonia cargo tank, applicator tank as well as the basic mechanical functions of a NH3 nurse tank/ aqua nurse tank, an overview of the loading and unloading of anhydrous ammonia/aqua ammonia, transporting anhydrous ammonia & aqua ammonia, safe driving practices, preventative driving measures including preventing roll-overs, speed control, lane control, basic braking while driving, the proper safety and security practices.

Please note this course is classroom training only and does not certify the attendee named above in the loading or unloading of anhydrous ammonia/aqua ammonia, or on any equipment used in the transportation or application of this product. It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure the above-named attendee receives function specific training on the equipment used to load, transport, unload and apply anhydrous ammonia or aqua ammonia.
