All-electric homes reduce carbon emissions in comparison to homes using other fuel sources. In this course we will explore what can be done to make new and existing buildings all-electric with currently available high-performance technologies including HVAC and lighting systems for cold climates. We will dive into the building envelope and the many methods that can be used to make homes energy efficient and as cost-effective as possible.
