Design Thinking (Session 1) – 9:00-11:00 AM

Certified design thinking coaches will provide facilitation activities that will take a company team through various design thinking artifacts as a means to align their most relevant problems to possible artificial intelligence solutions. 

 

Design Thinking (Session 2) – 9:00-11:00 AM

IBM Design Thinking Coach, Gokhan Elgun, introduces the basics of thinking in a relevant and tangible way by presenting industry examples and sharing practical applications of the framework.

 

AI Landscape – 11:30-2:00 PM

Todd Mooradian, Dean of the College of Business of the University of Louisville, will open the session with an introduction on the university and the work that is being doing with students and the AI consortium.

Konrad Konarski, V-Soft AI & IoT Practive Head, will provide a Keynote on AI technology and its application in Image Processing, Computer Visioning and Natural Language Understanding across different industries.

AI Consortium Breakout Session – 2:00-3:00 PM

By invite only, this round-table meeting will discuss AI standards development, data democratization efforts, collective mindshare for AI modeling, the deployment of the new AI-InnovaLab hosted at the University of Louisville, and other topics among the AI consortium community. Participants include Amgen, GE, AWS and other supporting organizations. 

Konrad Konarski. V-Soft's AI & IoT Practive Head, will introduce the AI Consortium and its efforts to enable innovation in collaboration with industry. 

Kris Skrinak, Global Machine Learning Segment Technical Leader, Amazon Web Services (AWS), will speak to the value and need of data democratization as a direct tie into the AI Consortium activities, and how AWS cognitive platform can empower the pervasive use of Artificial Intelligence. 

Jeff Guan, PhD Computer Science & Engineering and Professor at the University of Louisville, will speak about the university collaboration efforts in Artificial Intelligence. 

 

Workshop: How to Build a Chatbot & Image Processing Platform in 15 Minutes – 3:00-3:30 PM

Workshop designed to demonstrate a live chatbot deployment using both orchestration and more fundamental NLU tools. Hosted by AI Expert Pavan Yeddanapudi with online appearance from the AWS team and others.
