Mediumship and channeling have been recorded throughout human written history. The past 100 years has provided us with a wide variety of research and findings. Mediumship and channeling are more common than most might realize and, in general, imparts a positive benefit to those who practice them. Multiple studies have demonstrated the accuracy of mediumship to gain information that would otherwise not be available by conventional means. Further studies have evaluated the physiological effects during the mediumship and channeling state with mixed results. While the source of such information is still debated and will likely, the medium’s subjective understanding of the source of information can be explored. So too can the practical applications and benefits of mediumistic experiences for the practitioner and receiver.

Join us for this symposium to explore current mediumship and channeling research projects. Topics will include veracity studies, mediumistic writing analysis, semi-naturalistic methods in mediumship research, mediumship in children, and group channeling to answer scientific questions. There will be question and answer periods for each presentation and a panel discussion about the next steps in mediumship and channeling research.

The event will be held at Airmeet.com. It is recommended that attendees use Chrome on a desktop/laptop with a camera and microphone enabled for the best user experience.

Parapsychological Association

The Parapsychological Association is an international professional organization of scientists and scholars engaged in the study of psi (or 'psychic') experiences, such as telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, psychic healing, and precognition. First established in 1957, the PA has been an affiliated organization of the American Association for the Advancement of Science since 1969. The mission of the PA is to: Promote scholarship and scientific inquiry into currently unexplained aspects of human experience. Disseminate responsible information to the wider public and to the scientific community. Integrate this information with knowledge from other disciplines.

Patrizio Tressoldi is an Italian psychologist and consciousness researcher leading the Science of Consciousness Research Group at the Studium Patavinum of University of Padova, Italy. He has a long term interest in psi phenomena and began experimentation in the early 2000s, exploring the presentiment response and making notable progress in developing new methodologies. More recently, he has designed novel experiments to investigate psychokinetic influences. He has also reviewed the presentiment and implicit precognition literature.

PhD candidate (Social Psychology Graduate Programa - University of Sao Paulo) Bachelor in Psychology (Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo), MSc in Social Psychology (University of Sao Paulo- USP) and PhD candidate in Social Psychology (USP). Since childhood Mateus felt intrigued by mediumship, observing, and experiencing it sometimes. In psychology, he discovered a rich resource for studying parapsychological experiences. Currently, he has been dedicated to the research of altered states of consciousness, dissociation and mediumship, especially in childhood.
