Doulas and Unexpected Outcomes

Unexpected outcomes can be anything from an unanticipated surgical birth to the loss of a baby, and many things in between. Most doulas are underprepared for how to cope personally or professionally. With over twenty years of experience with the perinatal loss and traumatic birth, Robin will facilitate the group to:

  • Examine ways a doula can assist a family during an unexpected outcome
  • Create a plan to utilize in your practice for when these events occur
  • Discuss coping mechanisms for self-care after a loss or trauma

 

There CEUs will be offered from DONA International.
