Learn about the different soils of the Adirondacks, how they formed, the nature of their properties, and why soils are ecologically important. This walk will take you to as many as six different locations in the VIC landscape where soil horizons can easily be observed. During this casual walk with three soil scientists from the Natural Resources Conservation Services (NRCS), you will learn the facts necessary to be a good citizen of the earth.
