Join USDA soil scientists to learn about the soils of the Adirondacks. A range of information is provided in the tour including geology, geomorphology, and parent material—your guides will explain how soils are formed and why they are ecologically important. The walk will take you to as many as six different locations on VIC property where soil horizons can easily be observed.
