PreventionFIRST! will host a three hour/one day workshop "Addressing the Challenges of Medical Marijuana.   

Two Sessions:  AM (9a.m.-Noon)  OR  PM  (1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.)

Description:  Medical marijuana in Ohio poses many challenges for organizations, communities, and professionals committed to substance use/misuse prevention.  Join us to stay up-to-date on the marijuana initiative in Ohio and learn more about the potential impact on youth, families, communities, and individuals. 

 

 Trainers:  Jan Scaglione, B.S., M.T., PharmD, D.ABAT, Clinical Toxicologist at Cincinnati DPIC

                John Burke, President/Owner Pharmaceutical Diversion Education Inc.

                Erin Reed, Senior Legal Counsel, State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy

 

 

Objectives:

  • Learn the current status of the rules and regulations governing the implementation of Ohio's medical marijuana law.
  • Describe the decision-making process a prescriber might go through before recommending medical marijuana
  • Recognize community issues related to the use of medical marijuana on the job, in school settings, while driving, etc.

 

3 Prevention CEU hours have been approved for this training.

CHES hours are also available for this event.

 

 

 

Cancellation policy

There is no penalty for cancellation before the cancellation deadline, noon on April 12, 2019. Please contact Cathy Born at 513-751-8000 x10 or cborn@prevention-first.org to cancel your registration. If is it necessary for the PreventionFIRST! to cancel a program, registration fees will be returned.

A registrant who cannot attend may avoid forfeiting the registration fee and paying a cancellation fee by providing a substitute from his or her organization to attend the workshop. To arrange for this member to attend, the original registrant should contact Administrative Assistant at PreventionFIRST! at 513-751-8000 or info@prevention-first.org and provide information for the substitute.
