Session 1: Behind the ACT “Wall of Fame”

 

Date: February 15 (two options)

  • 8:30am-10:30am
  • 1:00pm – 3:00pm

 

The purpose of the Upper Cumberland ACT Collaborative is to provide opportunities for high school teams to investigate the best practices that lead to student success on the ACT. The goals for this four-part series include: 

  • To provide districts and high school teams with the most up-to-date information concerning ACT
  • To assist districts and high school teams in the development of an evidence-based plan of action for the 2017-2018 school year
  • To collaborate and share best practice around a variety of aspects of ACT that supports student success 

 

Session 1 Agenda:

  • Welcome
  • Exploring Why ACT Matters for Student Success
  • Diving into Your School’s ACT Data
  • Analyzing Your School’s ACT System (Perceptions and Realities)
  • Moving Forward

 

Dates: The series will convene for the first session on February 15, 2017, with the following sessions occurring in the of Summer 2017, September 2017, and January 2018.

 

Audience: This collaborative is designed for high school teams, including principals, guidance counselors, and lead content area teachers, as well as district personnel such as instructional supervisors, the CCTE director, and instructional coaches. For this first collaborative, please register a team of no more than 6 members.
