Dear Community Members,

Happy New Year! We hope this message finds you determined to make positive impact on our community this year.

Our first general meeting of the year is scheduled on 22nd February 2017 and the focus of the meeting is Public Transport (New Train Line) in Epping North/Wollert area.  The discussion forum will be facilitated by Ms Toni-Marie Wuelfert (ACA) and attended by the representative from our Local MP Ms Bronwyn Halfpenny's office, both extensively involved in the advocacy of public transport in our area.

Congestion on the roads due to lack of public transport, long commute times etc. have long been the most significant issue that all of us living in the community face on a daily basis. We do have a transport corridor running through the Aurora estate. Would you like to see a train, bus or light rail on this extension from Lalor station?

Or, If your answer to any of the questions below is ‘Yes’, we would request you to come to this event and voice your concerns and provide valuable ideas to help explore some workable solutions:.

  1. Do you feel frustrated due to long commute times in the peak hour to get to Lalor Station?
  2. Do you feel frustrated due to lack of parking at the Epping Station?
  3. Do you feel frustrated due to non-availability of express service to the city on our train line?
  4. Do you feel frustrated spending your valuable time commuting rather than with friends and family?
  5. Do you feel your business and/or employability is impacted due to lack of public transport?
  6. Do you feel your liveability is impacted because of above and prompts you to think of moving out?

In addition to this main event, VicRoads will provide us an updateon the O'herns road upgrade project  and Lend Lease will update us on the local developments in the new part of Aurora.
