The ABAP Bankruptcy CLE in Birmingham is sponsored by the Volunteer Lawyers Birmingham, South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program, Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program, Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program and the Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program.

The Alabama Bankruptcy Assistance Project (ABAP) was created in 2019 by the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program, Montgomery Volunteer Lawyers Program, Madison County Volunteer Lawyers Program and the Alabama State Bar Volunteer Lawyers Program to create an access to justice for low income individuals needing to file chapter 7 bankruptcy but cannot afford to file due to barriers such as filing fees and attorney’s fees.

ABAP has created a live video CLE to provide training to attorneys in bankruptcy law from client intake to discharge to post discharge. We hope that this training will not only be informative but spur your interest in joining the VLP to assist the most vulnerable in our great state.
