AAUW May 2019 Spring Luncheon

AAUW Spring Fiesta

Join us on Saturday, May 11th at 11 am for fun, fellowship, and fundraising at AAUW's last general meeting of the 2018-19 year! Silent Auction/Underground Restaurant project and Social Hour begins at 11 am in the Fireplace Foyer. Fiesta-style luncheon at noon in the Ponderosa Room. Live Auction and Officer Installation at 12:45 pm.

The fundraising projects will benefit AAUW's philanthropic efforts, including scholarships to the Girl Scout STEM Summer Camps and the Areospace Career Exploration Academy. Fortunately, our branch's donation to STEM projects will be matched by the State of Idaho's STEM Action Center.

So bring your checkbooks and credit card to share the fun! This year the Underground Restaurant project includes both dinners and social hours at members' homes. The bids for these events are fixed--$50 for dinners and $30 for social hours--so be there early to sign up for your favorite host/hostess. In addition, the silent auction will feature treasures that will go home with the highest bidders. Then after lunch, our guest auctioneer will start the bidding on awesome offerings donated by our members and supporters!

And to end AAUW's year by looking to the future, new officers will be installed.

AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research. The Boise Area Branch has been active in the community since 1909. The branch is actively engaged in public policy work throughout the year, and maintains a presence at the Statehouse during the Idaho legislative session.
