AAUW February 2018 General Meeting

Women's Healthcare Today

Local specialists in women's health, Dr. Sara Thomson and Dr. Martha Lund (an AAUW Boise branch member) will discuss

  • the impact of Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act on women's health,
  • the controversies surrounding women's health,
  • the status of reproductiove rights in Idaho, and
  • the need for maternal mortality statistics.

A social hour with a no-host bar starting at 11:30 AM in the Conference Center Tamarack Room.

Lunch will be served at noon.

Choose between a meal of mushroom and sage stuffed pork loin, cheddar chive chicken, or spinach and ricotta stuffed bell peppers. Please see complete menu under event information on the reservation form. Contact Marci Lingo with dietary restrictions (mlingo@hot-mktg.com or 208-345-2918).

If you choose not to dine, you may, of course, attend the meeting, but there is a fee of $5 to cover the cost associated with the meeting, such as room rental and equipment fees. You will find details about payment on the reservation form.

The branch is actively engaged in public policy work throughout the year, and maintains a presence at the Statehouse during the Idaho legislative session.
