AAUW December 2021 General Meeting

Artisans for Hope

Artisans for Hope, a local non-profit serving Boise-area refugees, will sell handcrafted items, from potholders to knitted scarves to tote bags, in the Convention Center Lobby before the meeting. The sale of this merchandise, perfect for holiday giving, supports the refugees who made the goods, as well as the organization. Artisans for Hope accepts cash, checks, and credit cards.

As part of the program, Lil Kurek, executive director of Artisans for Hope, will discuss how the non-profit helps local refugees overcome trauma by helping them connect with the community and each other while learning new skills, creating handcrafted goods, and earning for themselves and their families.

A social hour with a no-host bar will begin at 11:00 am in the Convention Center Lobby.

Lunch will be served at 11:45 am in the Juniper/Laurel room.

Meal choices are available on the registration form.

Contact Julie Custer (jjcuster1947@hotmail.com) with dietary restrictions no later than Thursday, December 9.

Cancellation policy

Please notify Julie Custer, jjcuster1947@hotmail.com, at least 72 hours prior to the event if you are unable to attend.
