AAUW April 2022 Annual and General Meeting 

Our speaker will be Dr.  JoAnn Lighty, Dean of the College of Engineering at Boise State University.  She earned her Ph.D. in chemical engineering at the University of Utah, where she subsequently became a professor and taught for 29 years.  Dr.  Lighty has deep experience in her field, including working at the National Science Foundation where she was director of the Division of Chemical, Bioengineering, Environmental and Transport Systems and oversaw 16 programs with an aggregate budget of $184 million.  Dr.  Lighty will talk about engineering at BSU and the opportunities for women and underrepresented groups, as well as higher ed funding. 

This meeting will be in person only.  Proof of COVID vaccination or a recent negative COVID test is required.  Masking is encouraged. 

A social hour with a no-host bar will begin at 5:00 pm in the Ponderosa Room.

Dinner will be served at 5:45 pm in the Ponderosa Room.
