In 2014, Fire Chief Rigo Landeros and a group of other volunteers organized the first annual Fillmore Firefighters Foundation Golf Tournement to raise money for the foundation. It was very successful in creating funds for the foundation, which providesimportant funding for personal protective equipment, safety and rescue gear, emergency medical supplies and continuing education and training for the membership that might not otherwise be available to the Firefighters of the department. They in turn donate countless volunteer hours in both Emergency Response and training to prepare for Emergencies in order to protect the citizens of the City of Fillmore.
Tournament has been named to honor of our former Chief, Rigo Landeros, who passed away in 2016. Rigo was tireless in his support of the Foundation, the volunteer Firefighters of Fillmore Fire Department and most importantly, the citizens of Fillmore.
We at the Fillmore Volunteer Firefighter Foundation would like to ask you to join us in our support of the men and women who volunteer at Fillmore Fire Department by joining us on the links for our 6th Annual Chief Rigo Landeros Memorial Golf Tournament.
