The purpose of the Southwest Region Annual Meeting and Education Conference is to present informative workshops, offer professional development activities, and arrange unique networking opportunities for the members of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated and community members. This year's meeting is a mix of in-person and virtual activities. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to meet with exhibitors and sponsors, while all attendees will have access to on-demand education modules. The theme of the meeting is, "Achieving Health Equity Through Advocacy, Diversity, Education, & Research" and we are certain that you will leave inspired. We're excited that you will join us for this exciting event.

Cancellation policy

For registration fees to be refunded less processing fee, cancellation request must be received via email on or before February 1, 2024, to finance@swrchietaphi.org. No registration refunds will be made for requests received after February 1, 2024. The registration processing fee is $50.

The Southwest Region is a geographical boundary consisting of Chapters of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah. More than 8000 Registered Nurses and Student Nurses hold membership in Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated. Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated is an internationally recognized leader in the provision of health education, leadership development, and service to the community. The mission of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Incorporated is to provide service for humanity, elevate the plane of nursing and to increase interest in the nursing profession.

Dr. Killian is a nationally recognized nurse leader in education, administration, and practice. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and is board certified as a Nurse Executive, Advanced. She recently retired as a Clinical Associate Professor, from a 14-year stent at Georgia State University, where she was instrumental in designing and implementing the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program. Although Dr. Killian completed her career in education, more than half of her work in nursing was spent in the practice setting as a nurse administrator and clinical nurse educator.

In her capacity as President of Nylex Counseling, Ms. Murphy is a Human Resource trainer and facilitator for the 3M Company and provides training for Health Advocate companies throughout the state of Delaware. Ms. Murphy has given numerous presentations and workshops on various topics related to women’s health issues, depression in men, leadership training, gambling, and motivational public speaking. She currently facilitates a women’s gambling support group for the Delaware Council on Gambling Problems.
