The 4th Annual SEIJIN-shiki USA

"Reflect, Connect & Celebrate"

JIA Foundation has brought a Japanese tradition of SEIJIN-shiki  (Coming of Age Celebration) to the US as a new tradition, "SEIJIN-shiki USA".

It is an opportunity for the SEIJIN, the newly recognized adults, to receive encouraging advice for the next chapter of their lives as newly gained freedom and responsibilities are celebrated in the company of family members and old friends. This moment is one that people remember for the rest of their lives. It is a memory that we all look back on fondly.

We invite our supporters - generous community supporters, new SEIJIN's families and friends - to the 4th annual SEIJIN-shiki USA at Sammamish High School Performing Arts Center. We'd love for you to join us and celebrate new journey of new SEIJIN together.

Due to limited venue space, there is a limited number of seats available for guests. Please register here to reserve your seat now!!

Cancellation policy

JIA Foundation will notify you when the event is cancelled due to unexpected circumstances as soon as the decision to cancel has been made.

You can cancel your registration by returning to your registration form when you need to for any reason.

The JIA Foundation is the organizer of SEIJIN-shiki USA, and was founded in 2014 to meet the needs of the current wave of Japanese immigrants and expats who benefit greatly from Japanese language specific services. “JIA” is an acronym which stands for Japanese in America. We define “JIA” as those of any race and nationality who speak Japanese and appreciate Japanese culture and values.
