2nd Annual Legacy Weekend

Opportunity to explore the Pentagon on a guided tour filled with interesting facts and tidbits. Tour will end with lunch on-site with multiple senior leaders planned to be in attendance.

The Higher Level Leadership Conference is a collaborative effort with young Air Force officers to raise the standard of knowledge and performance among junior and experienced military officers and other aerospace professionals. More than 100 local DC youth will participate in this motivational event and subsequent workshops that provide them tangible knowledge regarding aerospace careers and educational opportunities. HLL Conference participants will serve as role models and utilize this activity to put into practice the need to be leaders within our communities.

Minority aerospace professionals serve as featured participants during annual event at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center at the Washington–Dulles International Airport. This event is free and open to the public.

This formal, capstone event will feature food, fun, and entertainment. Attendees are encouraged to dress in “Harlem Renaissance” attire as we honor the pioneers that launched the legacy of African-Americans in aerospace.
