Seminar Room, Moss Landing Marine Laboratories, 8272 Moss Landing Road, Moss Landing, CA, 95039, United States.
The free symposium will be held at the Moss Landing Marine Laboratories. Attendees of this event will have a stunning view of Moss Landing estuaries and the Monterey Bay. In the spirit of collaboration, those participating in this gathering will learn of the latest efforts to mitigate human-caused disturbance to an array of coastal species, discuss ideas in a group forum, and network with people from agencies and organizations throughout the state who are working to protect coastal wildlife.
The goal of this symposium is to maximize the effectiveness of all our shared efforts to mitigate human-caused disturbance to coastal wildlife by fostering agreement upon common strategies and messaging, creating a forum for the sharing of new ideas, and supporting collaboration. We hope that by working together and pooling knowledge and resources we can make each of our jobs easier and our efforts more successful.
The objectives of this symposium will include:
Showcasing current wildlife-disturbance-related efforts across taxa
Introducing innovative strategies and techniques for mitigating wildlife disturbance
Identifying opportunities for collaboration and cross-promotion of messages
Light breakfast, lunch and beverages will be provided. To minimize waste, please bring your own cup/bottle for coffee or other beverages. Arrive early to sign in, get coffee and a snack and find a seat.
If you have any outreach materials you would like to share and discuss with the group, please bring them along!
