The E.V. Williams Center for Real Estate strives to connect those engaged or interested in real estate and economic development to the research, curriculum, and students at Old Dominion University (ODU). Through programming, research initiatives and publications the Center partners with its members, ODU alumni, and business leaders to educate the community and provide ODU students with enrichment experiences that facilitate their professional development.
Lawrence "Larry" Colorito is Senior Managing Director of Valbridge Property Advisors, the largest independent commercial real estate valuation and consulting firm in North America. In this capacity, Larry runs the Virginia offices of Valbridge and serves on the national Board of Directors. Larry has been in the valuation industry for 30 years, and has worked on assets valued at billions of dollars in over 20 states.
Dr. Agarwal is the Director of the Economic Forecasting Project and a Professor of Economics at Old Dominion University. Professor Agarwal served as Interim Dean of the Strome College of Business from July 2014 to June 2015, he also served as the Chairman of Old Dominion University's Economics Department from 2001 to 2006.
Krista is the Senior Vice President of Corporate Services and Office Leasing for Divaris Real Estate, Inc.’s corporate office in Virginia Beach and has been with Divaris since 2001.
Bill began work in commercial real estate with Cushman & Wakefield in 1985 after leaving the U.S. Navy, where he served as an officer and a fighter pilot. He has industrial sales and leasing experience in Los Angeles, California, as well as in the East Bay Region of San Francisco, California. Bill heads up the Industrial Practice Group for Thalhimer in Hampton Roads.
Michael P. Zarpas serves as Vice President of Retail Brokerage and Development at S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co., a fifth generation full-service commercial real estate firm founded in 1906. Mike is a seasoned veteran of the industry with 30 years of active service in the Coastal Virginia region.
Edward C. Denton is the president of Denton Realty Company and serves as
Mr. Counselman started his career with S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. in early 2004. Currently, Mr. Counselman specializes in conducting market and financial feasibility studies for potential development and acquisition opportunities, managing the preparation of debt and equity packages, preparing due diligence documents for loan and syndication proceeds, overseeing construction draw requests, maintaining accounting procedures for budgets and cost certifications.
Van is a 1975 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and a highly decorated Naval flight officer. He is a principal owner of Rose & Womble Realty Company, one of the largest Real Estate firms in Southeastern Virginia. Rose & Womble Realty is consistently ranked Number 1 in sales with over a billion dollars in residential real estate volume each year.
