The WSTC Winter Directors Meeting for Head Start and ECEAP directors and senior staff is coming soon, December 5 and 6 at the Embassy Suites in Tukwila. Registration is available for both days or one, as well as a remote option.
With COVID-19 Pandemic slowly moving into the rearview mirror the Head Start and ECEAP Directors Meeting this year will focus on moving forward and charting a new course. While we need to continue to deal with the many aftereffects of the pandemic and George Floyd head on we have some work to do to map out our next steps. This includes tackling workforce challenges in creative ways, effectively supporting both staff and families with deep trauma, and tackling issues of racial equity, political instability, and tight budgets. We also have some immense opportunities as well to rethink our approaches and to lean into the momentum building around childcare, early learning, and addressing mental health.
Agenda coming soon, and includes:

Terrific leadership training: Values to Vision: Insights to Increase Impact – Ed Condon. Let’s get clear on what truly matters to you. We will focus on what you believe, encourage alignment with your actions, and bring those beliefs to life. During the interactive session, attendees will be introduced to evidence-based leadership strategies. Together we will discover, renew, or reset solutions to be an impactful leader. Regardless of your organizational role, exercises in this session will help you to identify your core values and preferred operating system. Drawing from the esteemed work of Kouzes and Posner’s Leadership Challenge, we will explore the link between your values and how best to elevate your credibility. Building upon that foundation, we will discover core elements of vision and how best to lift your voice among your constituents to create deeper engagement among colleagues and increase overall impact.
