Join us for a weekend of the 12 Steps as they are laid out in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Speakers include Bob D. from Las Vegas, NV, Leslie S. from Atlanta, GA, Arisa B. from Boston, MA and Kent C. from Sandusky, OH.  Bud S from Deering, NH will be our featured Al Anon speaker. You don't want to miss this! 

Event will be held at MIT in Cambridge (Building 26, Room 100). 

Please note, to kick off the conference weekend, Bob D will be telling his story on Thursday, 1/26 at 8 PM, also at MIT (Building 1, Room 190). SPACE IS LIMITED. Doors will open at 7:30 PM and will close when the room reaches capacity (134 people).  

We have a room block available at the Kendall Hotel, located right across the street (walking distance) from the conference venue. To reserve, TEXT 617-577-1300 during business hours with your name, email, phone number, and your room preference - 1 or 2 beds. Please also include your arrival and departure dates.

Here are some final pieces of information we'd like to share: 

• The conference will be held in Building 26, Room 100 on the MIT campus - see below for suggested walking paths from various points, and refer to the interactive map here for guidance. 

• If you are driving and parking, the Albany Street Garage is available for use through the weekend AFTER 2:30 pm on Friday.  The cost is $11 per day (credit card ONLY).  The garage is building N4 on the map and the address is 32 Albany Street, Cambridge. From the garage, you can walk to Main Street, turn onto Vassar Street and then enter the MIT campus from there. 

• The Westgate Lot is also available for use through the weekend AFTER 2:30 PM on Friday at $11 per day (credit card ONLY), but is slightly farther from the conference venue. 

• If you are taking the T to Kendall Square (red line) or walking from the Kendall Hotel, it is best to walk up Main Street, turn onto Ames Street, and cut across the courtyard as shown on the map below.

• We'll provide coffee, tea, and light refreshments at the conference - refer to the list of nearby restaurants below for additional suggestions. There are also vending machines outside the auditorium where we will be meeting during the weekend. 

• In an effort to be more 'green' and sustainable, we suggest you bring a refillable water bottle and/or coffee cup to use during the weekend.

• We will have a raffle drawing on Saturday evening and have some great prizes to offer - 1st edition Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions (12 & 12), various gift cards, and more! All proceeds go directly to GSO. Tickets will be available for purchase via cash or Venmo. If you have gift cards or other items you'd like to donate, please bring them to the registration table. 

• New this year: On Saturday evening, Arisa B will lead a talk on the 12 Concepts for World Service. We will have Al-Anon meetings on both Friday evening and Sunday morning. 

• AA Ask It Basket or “Stump the Drunk” session on Saturday night - submit your questions for our speakers! 

• Sobriety countdown on Saturday night: Please be sure to sign the Big Book on the registration table.  It will be given to the person who has the least amount of sobriety at the sobriety countdown.
