The 2022 AIChE® Gala, Engineering the Extraordinary will recognize companies and their leaders for solving societal problems and benefitting humanity through the safe and responsible practice of chemical engineering.

We will honor Christophe Beck, Chairman and CEO of Ecolab and Micheal K. Wirth, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Chevron, in recognition of their commitment to a cleaner, safer and healthier world and for their dedication to the advancement of diversity and equity across their workforces and within the engineering profession.

The 2022 Doing a World of Good Medal will be presented to Paula T. Hammond, Institute Professor and Department Head of Chemical Engineering, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, for her leadership in creating opportunities for underrepresented minorities in science and engineering, and her groundbreaking research in medicine and energy.
