About the Event

The 2020 Tennessee Council for the Social Studies annual conference is scheduled for March 12th-13th, 2020.

 

A pre-conference workshop will be hosted by the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American Indians and will take place on March 12th (Thursday) from 12:30-4:30pm. We are asking for a $25 refundable deposit to insure attendance.

 

Our free President's reception and social will follow the workshop (6-8pm). It will include refreshments; access to exhibitors; meet and greet with our NCSS president, Dr. Tina Heafner, and NCSS exceutive director, Dr.  Larry Paska; as well as a trivia contest.

 

The bulk of our conference will take place the following day, Friday, March 13th, and will feature more than 36 breakout sessions. Breakfast and lunch are included and numerous door prizes will be given away.
