PreventionFIRST! will host its one day behavioral health prevention regional conference on Tuesday, September 10th at Great Wolf Lodge.
Conference Theme: Integrating Primary Prevention Across Behavioral Health Systems
Description: This conference is designed to bring community members and prevention professionals together from Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana to strengthen coalitions and improve the impact of prevention in all local communities.
This year’s theme is “Integrating Primary Prevention Across Behavioral Health Systems.” The conference objectives are:
· Attendees will demonstrate a better understanding of how primary prevention is an integral part of behavioral health with youth.
· Attendees will develop skills and utilize tools at the community-level for behavioral health prevention.
· Attendees will be able to identify both risk and protective factors for targeted prevention strategies.
Keynote: Dr. O'dell Owens is the president/CEO of Interact for Health and InterAct for Change. Interact for Health is an organization that serves as a catalyst by promoting health equity through grants, education, research, policy and engagement. PreventionFIRST! has applied for prevention CEUs and CHES continuing education hours for the event.
