This year’s Hearts and Hands Celebration will take place on Thursday, October 24th at the Laketown Golf and Conference Center in Saugatuck. The event begins at 6:00 pm and ends at 9:00 pm. Heavy Hors-d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. Business casual attire is encouraged. The evening will feature community partner recognition, a silent auction and the opportunity to support Community Action’s work. Attendees and supporters of the organization have the opportunity to assist families striving to achieve a better life. The organization anticipates 150 attendees, including business and community leaders, elected officials, program partners and supporters.

Community Action of Allegan County is a private, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that has been helping people, improving lives and strengthening communities since 1965. Our overall mission is to serve, advocate, and engage individuals, families and communities to overcome the effects of poverty and encourage self-reliance. For over 50 years, Community Action has made a large impact in the lives of thousands of people. Our programs are designed to help children, pregnant mothers, families, and seniors. Residents of Allegan County can call upon us for food assistance, emergency utility help, children’s Head Start programs, meal programs for seniors and weatherization of homes.
