The 6th Annual Good Food Showcase is an event to connect buyers with local good food businesses from the San Diego County region. Over the last five years this annual Showcase has helped connect hundreds of institutional purchasers with dozens of local farms and other producers.
The Good Food Showcase will be held on Monday, September 17th, 2018 from 11:30am to 5:00pm at California Center for the Arts, Escondido. Every year the showcase brings growers, distributors, and other good food businesses together with the institutional market to make connections and help expand our local economy and encourage more consumption of fresh, healthy fruits, vegetables, and other good food products. Food and beverages will also be provided.
At the Good Food Showcase we strive to increase the education and awareness of how community well-being is tied to a healthy food system. By building a stronger market for our local farms and food producers, we are building a healthier community.

The Farm to Institution Center is a division of Community Health Improvement Partners (CHIP). Established in 1995, CHIP has been a leader in innovative, collaborative solutions to address critical community health issues in the San Diego region. CHIP brings together diverse partners to assess community health needs, educate, and advocate to create policy, systems and environmental change which reduce health disparities. CHIP provides backbone support to plan, coordinate, and support collaborative initiatives to solve our most complex health problems. The Farm to Institution Center has a two-fold mission: 1) To improve community health by improving access and consumption of healthy foods and 2) To support farmers in creation of a vibrant, diverse, and growing local agricultural scene. The Center works to create this healthy and sustainable local food system, focusing primarily on the connection between local farm and institution as a pathway of good food into the community.
