A full weekend of activities in downtown Springfield on Capitol Avenue between 2nd St & 5th St. This year's entertainment lineup includes: Hipbone Sam and Fun DMC on stage Saturday July 2nd from 4pm to Midnight New City Road and The Shenanigans on stage Sunday July 3rd from 4pm to Midnight The Springfield IL Municipal Band by the IL State Capitol stairs Sun 7/3 starts at 7pm. New this year is the Capitol Takeover crossfit competition sponsored by Rail Splitter CrossFit & Just Right Eating.
There will also be merchandise vendors, food trucks and plenty of cold beverages of all kinds for both kids and adults, with a family friendly area that includes inflatables, games and children's activities.
