Seventy percent of U.S. adults have experienced a traumatic event at least once in their lives—often before age 18. The results can be disrupted brain development, adoption of at-risk health behaviors, and increased risk for disease, disability, social problems, and physical and mental illness. The NASW-NJ Trauma Certificate program is a 20 hour program of in-depth training covering foundational therapeutic skills, neuro-biological, psychological and somatic impacts of trauma and more(full program details below).  This is an interactive program featuring case scenarios, best practices and breakout groups.

 

Attendees will receive 20 CEUs and a certificate of completion. YOU MUST ATTEND ALL SECTIONS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE CEUs AND CERTIFICATE.

 

There are 4 hours of self-study prerequisites. 

 

Live instruction via zoom will take place over four days on Friday, September 9, Friday, September 16, Friday, September 23 and Friday, September 30, 2022 from 9AM-1PM.

Julie Roebuck, LCSW is a graduate of New York University, a licensed clinical social worker and the Chief Executive Officer of the Trauma Consulting, Training and Clinical Services Center, LLC. She has over twenty-five years of experience working with various types of traumas, including but not limited to domestic violence, sexual abuse, child fatalities, divorce, life threatening illnesses, sudden onset of medical illnesses, developmental abandonment /neglect and all types of life transitions. Throughout her career she has developed multiple programs such as the Batterers Intervention and Assessment Center in Newark Court System, and the Morris County Sexual Assault Center in Morristown, New Jersey. Julie Roebuck, LCSW presently works with children, adolescents and adults. She also provides psychological evaluations for immigrants seeking asylum and other types of evaluations for the courts. She practices CBT, EFT EMDR and IFS. Julie Roebuck LCSW is also a trainer, a consultant and a NASW trained clinical supervisor.
