In honor of Social Work month, let's add a few cognitive somatic methods to destress clients and ourselves.  Beginning with the Emotional Freedom Techniques aka Tapping, we will move into several spin-offs, frequently under the heading of Energy Psychology. The goal is that you leave with a variety of ways to quiet the neurological landscape of the anxious, agitated body and physical pain.

Robin Bilazarian

Robin Bilazarian, LCSW, attended the University of Pennsylvania and is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill School of Social Work with a field placement at Duke Medical Center Outpatient Psychiatry. She loves the evolution provided to her as a social worker with an early career in mental health and later, in employee assistance program work at Cooper University Hospital. She now trains other psychotherapists nationally on how to integrate Emotional Freedom Techniques aka Tapping and other mind-body methods into their practices for the treatment of anxiety and physical pain. These methods also quell Compassion Fatigue. She practices in Mount Laurel, NJ
