2 Social/Cultural CE credits

Participants will learn about the mental health disparities and barriers experienced by Chinese American, South Asian, Black/African American, and Latinx/Hispanic cultures. As a grassroots and self-help organization, NAMI New Jersey developed four multicultural programs to address the cultural needs of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Cultural differences can influence what treatments, coping mechanisms, and supports are available.

Participants will be able to:

§ Identify barriers to mental health care in diverse communities

§ Seek to understand the experience of individuals and families with identities different from their own

§ Identify evidence-based education, support, and public awareness programs available to diverse populations

Cost for this course:

Regular Price: $57
NASW Member Discounted Price: $37 (Members save over 35%!)
