Understanding the American with Disability Act (“ADA”) does not have to be a western shootout. I-9 audits are not like riding a wild bronco in the Wild West if you know what is coming. Be prepared for I-9 audits by having your documents in order, know what to do, say and request if ICE is at your office, know what a DHS subpoena will look like, what to provide to ICE following issuance of a subpoena and how to challenge a fine from ICE.
Saddle up and grab your lasso for a ride through the process of hiring and onboarding new employees in the workplace. Learn to avoid the snakes and dynamite traps along the way as we discuss legal compliance and best practices when it comes to interview questions, background checks, necessary documentation (including I-9s), and much more.
“String ‘em up! Put ‘em in the stockade! Get the rope!” Now, now, don’t send ‘em to lock-up just yet Sheriff. You may regret it later. The Wild West court system is not the place to learn the ropes on discipline. Learn to strategize corrective actions that are defensible in court.
Our expert panel will answer your difficult legal questions on a variety of employment law topics.
