The Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin's Walk for Thought brings together individuals and families from across the State of Wisconsin with the objective of increasing community awareness about brain injury. It serves as a fund raiser for the BIAW, and more importantly offers a networking opportunity for people and families affected by brain injury.
The 2018 15th Annual Walk for Thought will be held in four venues this year:
1) Appleton/NE Wisconsin - Telulah Park, 1300 Newbury St., Appleton, WI (September 15, 2018)
2) Madison - State Capitol Grounds, gather at King St. entrance (September 22, 2018)
3) Wausau - Oak Island Park, 500 River Road, Wausau (September 29, 2018)
4) Brookfield/Milwaukee - Fox Brook Park - 2925 North Barker Road, Brookfield, WI (October 6, 2018)

SPECIAL NOTE: If you add an additional donation to your registration, it will show up as a second "ticket" when receive your e-mail receipt. YOU ARE ONLY BEING CHARGED ONE TIME.
All the walks will be followed by a complimentary picnic!

Registration: Adult: $25, Survivors: $15, Children 6-12: $10, Children 0-5: Free (note no T-shirt for this group)
Each participant who is registered will receive a Walk for Thought T-shirt. If not pre-registered a T-shirt will not be guaranteed. You can also make a donation in support of someone attending the walk.

Formed in 1980, the Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin (BIAW) is a nonprofit, 501(C)(3) organization committed to serving individuals who have experienced a brain injury and their families. The BIAW’s mission is the prevention of brain injury and the full participation in life for individuals with brain injury. The BIAW facilitates over 20 support groups around Wisconsin for people and families affected by brain injury.

What if it rains?
The walk will take place rain or shine. Make sure to dress for the weather.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, the registration fee for all locations is $25 for adults, $15 for survivors, $10 for children 12 and under.
Everyone, who is pre-registered, will receive a t-shirt with their registration fee.
What sizes do the t-shirts come in?
Adult sizes: S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL
Children sizes: S, M, L
Should I pre-register?
Yes, if you pre-register by the deadline you will be guaranteed a t-shirt
Do I have to be part of a team?
No, you may register and walk as an individual.
What's the minimum number to start a team?
A team consists of two or more people
Can I collect donations?
Yes, collecting donations is encouraged!
Donations can be sent to the BIAW office or can be made online.
Donations can also be turned in the day of the walk.
Where does the money go?
All money raised will benefit the Brain Injury Alliance of Wisconsin. It will help us to provide resource materials, and programs and services to individuals with brain injury and their families throughout the state.
Are dogs allowed at the Walk locations?
Check each location for regulations. Leashed dogs are allowed at most parks.
