This workshop is for school social workers and other school based employees who provide students and families with mental health and other supportive services. Workshop participants will learn more about Tiffany's framework for school work that is centered around Compliance, Culture and Collaboration.
Workshop participants will:
1. Explore documentation and data tracking systems that are reflective of compliance regulations (confidentiality, HIPAA, etc) and social work ethics
2. Explore cultural implications and best practices for culturally relevant interventions and practices
3. Explore collaboration and utilizing systems for identifying stakeholders and partners that support high quality student supportive services and care.

Tiffany Walker, LCSW has over ten years’ experience in education serving students and communities with expertise in trauma informed care and building mental health literacy amongst vulnerable populations to support total student wellness and academic success. She is the founder and CEO of Journey Therapy Center, a NJ based therapy and consulting firm. Tiffany is a clinical practitioner well astute in working with clients providing individual, group and family therapy. Her ethical and justice-oriented decision making, and storytelling skills are reflected in her expertise in facilitation curriculum development. She has designed, developed, and delivered training and professional development on trauma informed care and mental health literacy that has empowered hundreds of individuals that represent a diversity of organizations such as schools, universities, and community-based organizations. She is an expert in school based social work and supports other schools in providing excellent service to students and families.
