Dear IOSH Members,

IOSH Singapore Branch is delighted to invite you to join us for our regular networking night on 14 September 2018. We're pleased to invie Mr Chin Chee Chow to provide an overview of the ISO 45001, the key differences and changes of the new standard in comparison to the BS OHSAS 18001 and inplementation expectations based on the certification body's perspective. It will also touch on the migration requirements as per the International Accredication Forum Mandatory Document 21.

We'll also have our very own Chartered member, Mr Alvin Gan, to give us insights into ionising radiation. You won't want to miss such a niche topic!

Background of Mr Chin Chee Chow
Mr Chin Chee Chow is a a senior auditor at TUV SUD with years of auditing experiences based on BS OHSAS 18001, SS 506, ISO 14001 etc. He's also an MOM approved WSH auditor as well as approved safety auditor with NEA .

Background of Mr Alvin Gan
Mr. Alvin Gan is the Radiation Safety Officer (S.E Asia) for Varian Medical System. He is responsible for leading the oversight and coordination of radiation safety compliance activities in S.E. Asia region and acts as the principal subject matter expert in radiation safety and protection.

Prior to joining Varian, he was the Safety and Health Manager in National University of Singapore (NUS) and co-led the radiation safety program in the campus. He has close to eight years of working experience as a Safety and Health Professional in shipbuilding and ship-repairing industry and institute of higher education.

He received his radiation safety training from Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organization (ANSTO). He has a Master’s Degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Technology (with specialization in Industrial Hygiene) and holds several professional certifications including Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner (CMIOSH).
