Steve has been creating, planning and running events since his university days. This former teacher became hooked on community events and recreational programming in 2010 which eventually lead to a career change to municipal recreation. Steve currently has over 8 years in the community recreation industry in planning festivals, events, programs, and community infrastructure. His love for the event industry eventually led to the creation of NL Promotions in June of 2015. He stated “Newfoundland has a very unique social culture. Our way of life tends to focus its energy on arts, music, food and nighttime life. This focus creates a major demand for unique events, shows, and concerts throughout the province.” NL Promotions has brought quality concerts like Ghosts of Grand Ole Opry and The Day The Music Died to the province. His love for quality craft beer and knowledge in the event planning business sparked the idea of the Newfoundland Craft Beer Festival, Newfoundland and Labrador's first craft beer festival!
