A Compassionate End-of-Life Care Option: Medical Aid in Dying

Today, nine states and the District of Columbia have authorized medical aid in dying. However, each law is slightly different. Join us as we learn about what exactly is medical aid in dying and what we have learned from states where this compassionate end of life option is legal.  Representative Paul Baumbach will also discuss his proposed legislation for Delaware the Ron Silveiro/Heather Block End of Life Options Act.

Speakers:

Representative Paul Baumbach (D-Newark) on the Delaware End of Life Options Act

Maria Spencer, M.A. Regional Campaign and Outreach Manager for Compassion & Choices on Medical Aid in Dying Around the Country

Representative David Bentz, Chair Health and Social Services Committee and Representative (Optional) Eric Morrison will also provide brief remarks on this important health care topic.

Representative Paul Baumbach grew up in Bel Air, MD. He received his Bachelors of Science from the University of Delaware and his Master of Science from Villanova University.
