You will be issued a trauma kit to use in class and have the option to purchase one at full price at the end of the course.
This intense, high-tempo 8 hour course gives you the skillset and confidence to manage life threatening injuries in hostile situations such as active shooter and terrorist attacks. Some of the things you will learn to assess & treat are:
Gunshot Wounds & Major Hemorrhage
Open Pneumothorax
Explosives Injuries
Burns
Hypovolemic Shock.
You will also learn how to perform casualty extractions, estabish a casualty collection point, perform a triage, and lead others in providing care. Upon completion you will receive a certificate and a 2 year certification in Tactical Emergency Casualty Care. There are no prerequisites and no special training or equipment is required to take this course. All training materials and supplies will be provided. This course follows nationally recognized guidelines and is taught by an experienced paramedic and combat veteran.
