This is a FLL second round qualifier hosted by Grand Saline Middle School FLL Robot teams and Grand Saline ISD on January 14. Teams that have made advancement to the second round can sign up. The event will be held at our high school. The physical address is 500 Stadium Drive in Grand Saline, TX 75140. We are easy to access directly from US Highway 80 E or IH 20 E and then North on State Highways 17 or 19 to US 80. Travel time varies but will average around one and a half hours from the central part of the Dallas/Ft.Worth metroplex.
What to Bring
Teams are welcome to bring their own robot tables,field mats, and mission models for setup in their pit area in addition to their robot kits and laptops to use while you are waiting to compete. We have extremely large pit areas set up this year to fully accomidate you. Multiple charging stations will be setup within the pit area to charge your robots and laptops. If you do not bring a table, one practice table with mat only will be set up in each pit area to be used on a first come, first served basis. Teams will be assigned to one of two full gym pit areas on either side of the main gym.
Concessions
A full service concession stand with hot foods will be avalible for teams who want to purchase lunch on site. A menu of options and prices will be emailed a few weeks before. Meal plan options and the ability to pre-order and pre-pay for your meal deal option will also be email out then. Stand will be cash only or school check made out for full team purchase. A few, but very limited local resturants options are available off site.
