Please join the Gainesville Alumnae Chapter, with assistance from ALL chapters, as they host the Sigma Alpha Iota Lambda D 2019 Province Day on February 9th, 2019.

The theme this year is: ”Let Our Voices Rise”

We are SO excited to welcome our guest keynote speaker: Leslie Odom Miller, the National President of SAI.

Registration:

***Part of the registration fee will cover the cost of a water bottle for each attendee -- to preserve our voices -- in lieu of a t-shirt.

Location:

  • First Baptist Church of Gainesville at 14105 NW 39th Avenue
  • This is directly off of West I-75 on the NW 39th exit. It is easy to get to and there is plenty of parking.
  • For those who wish to stay in Gainesville in the evening of February 8th, there are many good hotels in Gainesville. The most convenient for this event is likely the Best Western Gateway Grand, which is also located off the NW 39th Avenue exit and is less than a five-minute drive to the Province Day location.

  • 10:00 Keynote Presentation Leslie Odom Miller, DMA, President, Sigma Alpha Iota International Music Fraternity
  • 11:00 Province Day Charity Presentation: PACE Center for Girls
  • 11:30 Lunch; Presentation by Dr. Brenda Smith, DMA, "The Voice of the Professional Woman"; and, Founder's Day Ritual
  • 1:00-1:45 Phlea Phlam
  • 2:00 Breakout Sessions 1: 1A. The Voice of Sigma Alpha Iota Chapter Officers: Responsibilities and Challenges Panel Discussion led by Anna-Marie Wright OR 1B. Singing with Your Sisters: There is No App for That
  • 2:45 Breakout Sessions 2: 2A. Voices of Women Leaders: Volunteer Opportunities and Development OR 2B. Singing the SAI Songbook
