Submission guidelines
All workshops will be 90-minutes in length with a virtual format in 2021. NASW-OK welcomes compelling proposals that address a wide range of topics related, but not limited to, contribution to the growth of social workers and related professionals in the ethical integration of spirituality, faith and social work practice.
General Submission Guidelines
The 2021 NASW-OK | ORU Faith & Social Work Conference will focus on best practices, policies, and research findings that incorporate spirituality, faith, and social work practice.
The proposal submission process requires that you provide the following information:
Name/Credentials/Affiliation/Contact information for primary presenter (and for symposium presentations, two additional co-presenters)
Brief biography for each presenter (maximum of 400 characters)
Title of presentation (maximum of 100 characters)
Brief presentation abstract (maximum of 500 characters. Please Note: This will be the description of your session used in the Symposium program book)
Abstract (maximum of 4,000 characters) 1. Issue focus 2. Program description
3. Description of the target population (ex. students, practitioners, or a specific client population)
4. Description of the social work practice intervention, research, or policy change including how the concepts of shaping social work and faith are incorporated into the presentation.
5. Conclusions and implications for practice, policy, professional development, education, or research
6. Three learning objectives specific to social work and the session topic, that clearly state what the participants will be able to do, as a result of your presentation.
