Telling Better Stories With Your Images - 4 Day Master Workshop with Massimo Bassano - $1985

Vancouver Photo Workshops is excited to host this rare 4 Day Master Workshop with National Geographic Photographer Massimo Bassano from Italy!

During this 4 Day Master Workshop you will learn how to improve your travel photography and storytelling joining Massimo Bassano, National Geographic photographer, in his “on assignment” workshop in Vancouver.

Massimo has traveled to all five Continents for National Geographic, covering a wide variety of subjects. His enthusiasm about photography to discover people and culture is highly contagious.

Vancouver is a photographers paradise and thus a perfect location for this workshop.

Nestled between majestic mountains and the wild Pacific Ocean with a vibrant multi-cultural population, there is no shortage of shooting opportunities.

Consistently ranked as one of the most beautiful and friendly cities in the world, we invite you to come and experience the wonderful people and incredible natural beauty that our Pacific Northwest gem has to offer.

For this workshop, Massimo will be joined by Myriam Casper, an emerging photographer who is based in Vancouver. Together, they will direct you to produce your own assignment during the 4 day workshop. Both instructors will improve the way to see the place through your camera.

Every day we will go into the field looking for photo opportunities. Daily critiques will be the key to improving your skills. Massimo and Myriam will share their way to operate and will direct you on a specific assignment that meets your feeling for the place as also moving you out of your comfort zone. One of the major ingredients to be successful in Travel Photography and Storytelling is to move over our own limits.

About your Workshop Leaders: Massimo and Myriam

Massimo has been traveling for National Geographic all over the World for the past 27 years. Exploring all seven continents. He started to be interested in photography working for a Nat Geo photographer around a story about Christopher Columbus. He formed his skills through this “exclusive and alive” school working for many others after the first one. Storytelling has been always his target. His way to communicate through photographs it’s enriched by his Italian roots. Massimo's distinctive sign is always the way he tells stories. He is able to go deeper and closer to everyone. He loves to be connected, to understand, to share.

Myriam has passion for photography since she was a child. She transformed her passion in something more deep attending the Stamford College in Lincolnshire, UK. But it’s when she moved to Vancouver that she decided to be a photographer, professionally speaking. She has an incredible appeal for Black and White as for photographing lifestyle and humanity. Her recent assignments in Morocco and Cuba show her attitude to meet people and to be part of their own lives.
Myriam shares her time in Vancouver teaching Photography and Video Editing at the Vancouver Film School and planning new assignments worldwide.
