Why Attend an NCOA Job Fair?

Our Goal: The goal of the NCOA Job Fair program is to connect America’s heroes with the nation’s finest employers. Our job fair program welcomes veterans, active duty servicemembers and their dependents to our events free of charge.  We’ve been helping veterans transition since 1973, and we are committed to helping every veteran gain meaningful employment.

For Employers: The best way to meet prospective employees is face to face. Our job fairs offer employers the opportunity to meet, interview, and recruit from America’s greatest talent pool, our military servicemembers, and their dependents. We have teamed up with Military.com and Monster to help promote our job fairs to their membership of over 10 million.  We know this partnership will bring in top notch companies as well as first-class candidates.

Your job fair package includes your company listing in each customized event program, promotion of your company in marketing materials and attendee emails, as well as lunch and refreshments for two company attendees.  Multiple event discounts are available.

For Job Seekers:  Many employers offer an online application, so why should you attend an in-person job fair?  First of all, because employers attend job fairs, and there is no substitute for face to face meetings.  Employers can provide you with tips to bypass or streamline the online process. You can ask the employer about substituting your military experience in place of formal education. Employers can take your information and reach out to you directly when an opening is available.  A job fair is a great place to do your homework about salary range, benefits, and clearance requirements at companies where you want to work.  Don’t forget the opportunity to meet other job seekers who can share with you their experiences and share their knowledge about job availability in different industries.

Non Commissioned Officers Association

ncoacareerexpos.org

The NCOA is a federally chartered military non-profit 501(c)(19) organization and was established in 1960 to enhance and maintain the quality of life for non commissioned and petty officers in all branches of the United States Armed Forces, National Guard and Reserves. NCOA is currently a leader in Veterans Employment Assistance (VEA), a strong voice on Capitol Hill and with the Veterans Administration, and our members around the world are making a difference in their local communities. NCOA offers its members a wide range of benefits and services designed especially for enlisted service members and their families. NCOA’s nearly 100 chapters are the foundation of the Association. They are the centers of social interaction among association members, grass-roots benevolent activity, community support and involvement programs. Association chapters exist worldwide from small towns in the United States to countries like Korea, Germany and Italy; almost everywhere American service members are stationed. NCOA chapters participate in a variety of national and local activities. Chapter efforts in NCOA’s national voter registration program have been responsible for the registration of hundreds of thousands of military personnel, veterans and their families.
