Women in Gaming Australasia is committed to bringing you more exciting, educational and informative events. Our programs will raise awareness, provoke thought, drive change and develop your network within the gaming industry.

Following on from the successful launch of 'Step Forward' in Sydney last November, WGA is bringing Step Forward to Melbourne on Thursday 19th April.

Step Forward includes a Professional Development session, a topical panel discussion on men as allies and the role they play in gender equality and an opportunity to network with others in the industry.

Professional Development - Fail Forward

It's not about failing; it's about learning and growing as a leader. Attendees will explore the consequences of fear and failure and the impact a fixed versus growth mind-set can have on your ability to take risks. You will learn how to mitigate those risks by forming a safety net that enables you to jump into the unknown and achieve extraordinary things.

Panel - Men as allies and the role they play in Gender Equality

Given the higher proportion of men in leadership, as well as the lower participation of men in parental leave and flexible work, it is critical to engage them in conversations around workplace inclusion, their role in driving change and their commitment to ensuring women’s representation in leadership is elevated.

This panel of influential male and female leaders will discuss the importance of gender equality and inclusion in the workplace, why it’s a shared responsibility and the demonstrable progress being made within their places of work.

Women in Gaming Australasia was established to help support the development and success of women in the gaming industry through education, mentorship and networking opportunities, driving industry awareness, leadership capability and career opportunities, while attracting new entrants to the exciting world of gaming.
