Kench Hill Centre, Kench Hill/Appledore Rd, Tenterden, Kent, TN30 7DG, United Kingdom.

This is one of West Kent Triratna Buddhists' regular Sangha retreats. In addition to our own Sangha it is also open to those who are members of other Triratna Sanghas or who have been on another Triratna retreat.

Becoming a Lotus - Becoming a Jewel

We'll be  exploring the qualities of Avalokiteshvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion, particularly in relation to his mantra "Om Mani Padme Hum".

"Mani" means jewel and "Padma" means lotus and we're going to look at what that means to us in practice.  How do we put down roots and blossom like a lotus?

And how do we nurture that jewel in our hearts which IS the Bodhicitta, the longing to gain Enlightenment for the sake of all sentient beings?

A retreat is Sangha in action, living and practicing together.

It is a wonderful opportunity to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind and enjoy a weekend of Buddhist practice with other like-minded people.

You will receive details about travelling to Kench Hill, arrival times and what to bring in your order receipt email.
